SPM stands for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, which translates to the Malaysian Certificate of Education in English. It is a national examination taken by students at the end of their secondary education, usually after five years of studying in secondary school. The SPM examination is administered by the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate (Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia) under the Ministry of Education. This examination is an important milestone for Malaysian students as it determines their eligibility for further education at tertiary institutions or entry into the workforce.
